Activision announced today that the second and final map pack for Modern Warfare 2 will be released on June 3rd, 2010. This map pack is titled the Resurgence Pack and will more than likely be $15, the same as the first map pack.
This also will likely be the end of Infinity Ward after, probably when such map pack is finally released for PlayStation 3 and PC. Though, Activision did not announce if there would be a map pack for PlayStation 3 and/or PC though.
The only details that were released is that there will be 5 maps in this map pack, no word if 2 of those maps are from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare or not.

Robert “fourzerotwo” Bowling has just tweeted shortly ago the following:
Modern Warfare 2 playlists now updated. They should all have double XP and include the new maps in their rotation. May need to restart! #MW2
This is great news! I do not know what person thought it would be fun at all to everyone to have to play in a variety of game modes in order to just play the new maps. Thank you for listening to the community on solely this one issue Infinity Ward! Thank you!
Modern Warfare 2′s New Map Pack’s have now been released! Grab them from the Marketplace or go to Xbox.com to purchase them and have them ready to download to your console.
You will also be getting a title update. This includes fixes for hacks, that will most likely be unpatched again, also improved local game searching, one many army tweaks, M9 challenge fix and much more.
It has just been confirmed by Robert “fourzerotwo” Bowling that Modern Warfare 2′s first DLC (downloadable content) will arrive on Xbox 360 March 30th, 2010. If you are unaware of this, this is exclusive to Xbox 360 for the first 30 days only. Afterwards, those PS3 and PC players will be able to play these new maps as well. So mark your calendars!
In this new downloadable content currently titled from my knowledge as “Stimulus Package” I do know contain 2 maps from Call of Duty 4, those being Overgrown and Crash. I am more a fan of Strike and Bog and wish those were coming over instead. Could you imagine a game of Bog on Modern Warfare 2? Hell yeah, I wish it would happen. But I would be more than happy with just Strike, my favorite map of all time.
They also contain 3 new maps Complex, Compact and Storm. I can not post pictures that have been previously leaked days ago. You will just have to wait till the end of the month to play them or as new information arrives over the next few weeks. I am sure there will be and we will be posting them when the time comes too.

I absolutely can not wait till November 10th, 2009. After this trailer, thsi game looks fucking incredible. The graphics look insanely amazing compared to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare among just everything else shown in the trailer. I want to hear or see more multiplayer details though.
Posted the other day were a few videos showing off parts of the new maps for Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 posted from the CallofDuty.com forums. Take a look for yourself, they do not look half bad either. I am very much looking forward to the new Zombie map.
Because of Treyarch and Activision selling more than one million copies of Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 during its first week of release, they will be releasing another map pack, 2, come June 2009.
The Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 will introduce three new multiplayer maps: “Banzai,” a jungle environment riddled with caves; “Corrosion,” a Russian train yard; and “Sub Pens,” a rain-drenched submarine base.
That’s all well and good, but now for the good stuff: a new Nazi Zombie map! “Shi No Numa,” home to this guy, promises new Perk machines, a new weapon, new achievements / trophies and flaming Hell hounds. It also promises to keep our repository of nightmare material well-stocked.
