CoD: World at War Trailer Hits XBL June 21-22

Call of Duty: World at War (being developed by Treyarch, those who brought us CoD3, not good) will be releasing its first trailer on Xbox Live starting on from what it seems to be only June 21st and 22nd or could be set to go live on 1 of those days. I’ll be sure to capture HD footage of this trailer and put it up on a website.
More information on this game is that it is being built on the same engine used for Call of Duty 4, which we all have come to love. Though I do not think that CoD5 will replace CoD4 at all or it’s multiplayer, you never know. It could end up being a good game, which would be their first for CoD.

Call of Duty: World at War (CoD5)

It’s official, Treyarch (who poorly developed CoD3) will develop CoD5, named Call of Duty: World at War. The battle will take place in the Pacific during World War II. Goodbye Modern Day Warfare.

According to the article, Treyarch intends to “explore the darkest corners of WWII,” giving the military shooter more of a survival horror flavor by “tackling darker themes” and pitting players against a “new, seemingly alien fighting force.” Activision has yet to officially announce Call of Duty: World at War, though it seems clear that we’ll be trading in our guided anti-tank missiles for submachine guns sooner than we’d like.

One fucking awesome feature that should be mention. The magazine also confirmed that the campaign in Call of Duty: World at War will feature four-player cooperative play over Xbox LIVE. Additionally the competitive multiplayer modes will sport meta game perks similar to those previously seen in Call of Duty 4.

Call of Duty 4 Reclaims #1 Spot, Double XP Weekend!

Call of Duty 4 has reclaimed it’s #1 spot after only 1 month of being knocked off. Not only was GTA IV knocked off 1st place, Halo 3 even beat it making GTA IV come in 3rd place for last weeks activity.

Because of this, Infinity Ward will be giving out Double XP this weekend. Other changes apply too, new maps will no longer show up 2:1, as IW Employee Robert Bowling (aka IAMfourzerotwo) says we will no longer see Chinatown show up 8,000 times (which literally, it does and I hated it). Thank god. The Double XP will start Friday morning and last till Monday.

Call of Duty 4 sells 10 million units

Infinity Ward told CNET News that they have sold now over 10 million copies of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Not many titles sell this many in a lifetime. You can read the full story at the link below but here are a few highlights from the article worth mentioning.

And to be sure, it’s not the only game that has reached 10 million units moved–Infinity Ward said that COD 4 is one of “less than 10” games to do so since 2000–but it’s still a notable milestone, especially when you consider that, at a sticker price of $60 a pop, even when considering that you can buy it for less at some retailers, Activision has raked in many hundreds of millions of dollars with the game.
But, COD 4 still has some juice left. He suggested that the game is still selling, that it’s map pack add-on has sold 1.5 million copies, and that the main game itself is expected to sell a lot more copies this holiday season.
True or not, hats off to Infinity Ward on reaching a milestone few ever reach.

Jerry, THEROCK878, has reached Prestige 10!

Give it up for Jerry, THEROCK878, he has finally reached Prestige 10 in CoD4. He was the 4th to do so but if it weren’t for others being busy and Jordan, Rathman44, deciding to stay at 55 Prestige 9, he wouldn’t of been 4th, probably 6-7th. Oh well, Congrats Jerry!
